Vinyl Ester Resin for Maximum Durability
The foundation of our pools lies in the use of Vinyl Ester resin, which offers superior protection against water absorption. This type of resin is commonly used in the marine and aerospace industries, where strength and durability are critical. By using Vinyl Ester resin throughout the laminate, we ensure that the entire shell of your pool is resistant to water penetration and damage.
Woven Roving for Structural Integrity
We reinforce our pools with woven roving, a fabric made by weaving continuous strands of fiberglass together. This creates a robust structure, ensuring that your pool is built to withstand years of use. We use at least 48 ounces per square yard of woven roving across the pool, with even more in deep areas, adding extra strength where it’s needed most.
Nonporous Gel-Coat Finish
The surface of our pools is coated with an NPG/ISO (Neopentyl Glycol-Isophthalic Acid) gel-coat. This finish is nonporous, chemically inert, and resistant to acids and oxidizers, ensuring that algae and stains cannot penetrate the surface. Any stains that do form can easily be removed with simple stain removers, keeping your pool looking pristine.

Since 1958 San Juan has grown from a small Washington based company to a well governed nationwide organization with numerous manufacturing plants throughout the United States. Along with each plant’s network of locally owned independent authorized San Juan dealers, they design and craft the most elegant fiberglass pools in America.
